TUTORIAL QUESTIONS (WEEK 2)

1. Describe an organisation that you know well.identify message functions and the structure of the organisation.
a
   The organisation am describing is a media company i used to work for back in my home country called 'MEDIA PLUS' it is mostly known for the fine documentary work they have been doing for the past twenty years.it is a one man's company in a sense tthat he is the one who started it in the late 80's and has done a couple of pieces for the international news station CNN.
    The form of communication in the company is direct from both the boss and the employees. any ideas proposed are brought to the table and discussed then executed.it is almost a free kind of environment because new ideas regardless who are welcome.


 One of the most successful projects Media Plus has executed satisfactorily is television news programme production. This is a field, which the company has pioneered in the Sub-region whereby for the first time an independent local television news agency was able to set up a news gathering network to supply news to local channels. The company also sells news footage to international news channels and production companies.

2. Describe the culture of the same organisation.


   Being familiar with organisations that are a one man's call on almost everything share some thing. there is usually a bond formed by the employer and employees where there is a free speech on any thing.new ideas are proposed everyday and taken in to consideration by the employer(boss)


3.Debate whether or not whether we should view communication as the fundamental organizational process.


   I would agree in terms of viewing communication as the fundamental organizational process because communication is the key to all understanding one another in an organisation and outside with other organisations.Messages can be sent over intranets and the Internet using common transports, such as word of mouth,the internet,fax,text messages and letters.Identify message functions and the structure of that organization.
